When working with MacBook's, there are a couple of additional steps in order to boot. Since the Mac OS doesn't provide an easy way to boot from the network, you will need to have a USB bootloader. To create the USB is simple, it can be done by inserting a USB into the appliance and following the instructions on the screen.

When a device doesn't have ethernet ports you will need a USB-to-Ethernet adapter to connect them.

WipeOS Boot

When booting WipeOS, there are several options available due to different manufacturer designs. One size doesn't fit all in this world, this is why we've developed different boot options, see below.

WipeOS Boot

Definitions of boot options:

WipeOS - This is a default option, which works on most machines.
WipeOS Fallback - Use this if the screen stays black on the default option. This option does not try to initialize any GPUs.
Apple 2016+ - Uses a newer version of Linux with more drivers. Required for Apple machines from 2016 to 2019, Intel only.
Apple 2016+ Black Screen - Same as WipeOS Fallback, but for the newer Linux version. Use this if the previous option was just a blank screen.
Debug Mode - Prints every message to the screen. To be used when all other options fail, please email a picture or video of the last screen to support@wipeos.com so we can diagnose the issue.
