1. Create a Windows Installation Media
-
Visit the Microsoft Windows download page.
-
Download the Media Creation Tool and run it.
-
Select Create installation media (USB flash drive) for another PC and follow the prompts.
-
Insert a USB drive (8 GB or larger) and use it as the installation media.
2. Boot from the USB Drive
-
Insert the USB drive into the laptop and restart.

Press the appropriate Boot Menu key (often F12, F2, F10, or ESC) immediately during startup to access the boot menu.
-
Select the USB drive from the boot options to start the Windows installation.
3. Start the Windows Setup Process
-
Once the laptop boots from the USB, you’ll see the Windows Setup screen.
-
When Windows first boots following installation, it'll present a language selection screen. At that screen, press Ctrl+Shift+F3. Windows will then boot into audit mode.
-
4. Windows Sysprep setup (best practice to have drivers updated. Best used for large quantities of identical devices.)
-
Search and open the registry editor from the start menu.
-
Navigate using the “>” button next to the folder to expand it HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\Sysprep\Settings\sppnp

Open Windows updates by clicking the start menu and start type Windows updates settings. Select it as shown below when it appears.
-
Go ahead and allow Windows updates to install patches and the drivers for the PC.
-

-
Finish any Windows updates that may come after the first run and restart again if it prompts for it.
6. Sysprep Image
-
Upon the last windows update reboot. Sysprep should still be open.
